Blancpain and Lamborghini’s new partnership in the UAE

Renowned luxury watchmaker Blancpain and high-end car manufacturer Lamborghini have taken their association a few notches higher by setting up a local partnership in the United Arab Emirates. Watch aficionados and car enthusiasts, who are patrons of the two brands, gathered and exchanged pleasantries at the Yas Marina track in Abu Dhabi to celebrate this union.

At the event, Blancpain watch connoisseurs and committed Lamborghini drivers and owners enjoyed a chance to share their passion. Guests were allowed to drive the Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 around the Yas Marina track. They also enjoyed going through the various watch collections from Blancpain. With this event the brands aim to create a tie at the local level.

Both Blancpain and Lamborghini pay a lot of importance to values like reliability, precision and transmission of know-how. Though the two manufacturers move in different circles, they are driven by a common passion for innovation and excellence. Now, after a period of five years, their partnership is stronger than ever, with Blancpain even being the main partner of Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary celebrations worldwide and specifically of the Grande Giro Lamborghini that will take place in Italy from May 7 to 11, 2013.

Blancpain, founded in 1735 in Le Brassus by Jehan-Jacques Blancpain, is committed to the renewal of mechanical watchmaking and to passing on of the expertise from one generation to another, through investment in human resources, production facilities and research. Over the past seven years alone, Blancpain has developed over 26 new calibres. Blancpain’s range comprises of the sportive evolution line, the Fifty Fathoms diver’s watch, the classic Villeret collection, the high-complication models in the Le Brassus collection and the Women models.

Lamborghini Automobili, the Italian manufacturer of luxury sports cars, founded in 1963, is owned by German Volkswagen through its subsidiary Audi. Lamborghini’s production facility and headquarters are located in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy.
