Bulgari lights up Christmas in the heart of Rome withjewels that become lighting installations. The Christmas decorations creatively mimic iconic Bulgari shapes from the wrapping lines of the Serpenticollection to the characteristic sinuous shapes of the Diva collection. Bulgari has chosen to celebrate Christmas with two of its most representative collections. In the Bulgari Serpenticollection, the snake arouses the same seductive allure as the jewel worn by Cleopatra 2000 years ago when visiting Julius Cesar in Rome in 46 AD. , the Diva collection was created in homage to the bond between Bulgari and the world of divas and represents an ode to femininity inspired by the Baths of Caracalla mosaics.
Italian actress and event hostessChiara Francini, the Maison’s CEO Jean-Christophe Babin and the President of the Via Condotti Retailers’ Association, Gianni Battistoni, launched the historic Roman street’s new décor after the inauguration ceremony. Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the switch created for this specially occasion was tripped to set off the festive and merry atmosphere in the street.
Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bulgari says “Lighting up Christmas in this magnificent street in the year of the Maison’s 130th anniversary held a special meaning for Bulgari. During 2014, not only did Bulgari celebrate the reopening of the legendary store in Via Condotti, but also donated 1.5 Million Euro to the city of Rome to renovate the Spanish Steps. Giving Via Condotti a festive Christmas look makes us proud to be able to once again pay tribute to the city of Rome, an eternal source of inspiration and the heart of our history.”
