Carl Suchy & Söhne is an Austrian-Swiss company that produces very exclusive automatic wristwatches. Originally established by watchmaker Carl Suchy in 1822, the brand soon became the most important watch manufacturer of the Habsburg Empire, catering to the likes of Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph and Sigmund Freud.
Last year, we successfully relaunched the Austrian legacy watch brand with the cutting-edge contemporary timepiece “Waltz N°1″ – the only watch that combines the minimalistic elegance of Viennese Modernism with Swiss craftsmanship.
The timepieces are artfully handcrafted in Switzerland by renowned watchmaker Marc Jenni, a former member of the A.H.C.I. The ultra-thin movement with decentralized micro-rotor is manufactured by Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier. Every year, a limited series of Waltz N°1 is produced. Currently, the second production series of only 50 timepieces is available. This March, the speical edition watch “Waltz N°1 Skeleton”, limited to five watches, was launched at Basel.
Carl Suchy & Söhne stands out due to its exclusivity, design fluidity and price performance (The Waltz N°1 costs €7.850,-). With its contemporary minimalistic appearance and the imperial legacy, it is a beautiful addition to any watch collection and the ideal timepiece for international watch lovers who are looking for something special.
