With the grand opening of Al Habtoor Motors’ new Bentley Emirates showroom in Abu Dhabi, George Duncan, Director of Bentley Emirates, speaks to us about Bentley’s positioning in the market
The majestic Bentley Emirates will be housed in the Al Habtoor Motors’ swanky new showroom – along the Abu Dhabi Corniche. With the opening of this exclusive showroom, Al Habtoor Motors reinforce their position among the most successful car retailers in the Middle East, while, for Bentley, it is a reaffirmation of their commitment to enhanced customer service.
Established in 1983, Al Habtoor Motors are among the leading automobile distributors in the UAE. Driven by professionalism and quality, the company offers the highest standards of customer service. Currently, they import more than 60,000 vehicles every year from Japan. They have a well-established network of seven showrooms, eight service centres and twelve parts’ centres and have also set up the Al Habtoor Motors Centre for Genuine Parts & Services in the Dubai Investment Park. This 200 working-bay, state-of-the-art facility boasts the latest in diagnostic equipment and offers the very best in vehicle service.
Luxury automobile marques in the Al Habtoor stable include the majestic Bentley and the powerful Bugatti. Al Habtoor Motors have experienced steady growth since their inception.
George Duncan, Director of Bentley Emirates, a Prestige Cars Division of Al Habtoor Motors, says “This opening is a testament to our growth in the UAE. We want customers to have total satisfaction in our service, from their first visit to our showroom to aftersales. While we already have many customers in Abu Dhabi, we need to introduce Bentley to new customers. We need to keep in mind that in Dubai the market is split 50:50 between local and expats, but in Abu Dhabi it is 90 percent local.”
The opening coincides with two Middle East debuts from Bentley: the EXP 9 F SUV Concept – Bentley’s vision of a high-performance, ultra-luxury SUV – and the Executive Interior Specification service for personalisation of Mulsannes.
Al Habtoor Group has been actively developing infrastructure to market and maintain luxury cars in the region. George, with over 28 years of automotive experience, agrees, “The investments in our sales and service facilities are due to the vision of the Al Habtoor family and their determination to drive service to meet justifiably high customer expectations.”
He does not conceal his optimism when he concludes, saying, “Growth in the luxury car business is buoyant and, as a progressive company, we have many exciting plans for future developments.” J
