During the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition, IWC Schaffhausen welcomed Friend of the Brand Lewis Hamilton to an exclusive event in Qatar in partnership with Al Majed Jewellery. The Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team driver says “being part of the IWC family is truly an honour as we share the same values and find many similarities between the racing world and watch making universe.”

Karoline Huber, Brand Director of IWC Middle East & India says “It is an honour for us to have Lewis Hamilton as our guest at the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition, and we are pleased to be part of this prestigious event for the second time. Fans of high-quality mechanical watches can look forward not only to future IWC collections, but also to further IWC activities in Qatar. That said, we would like to take this opportunity to announce that IWC will be opening its doors at Villagio Mall in Doha in March.”

Jamil Al Majed,Vice Chairman of Al Majed Jewellery added “ Al Majed Jewellery is honoured to welcome IWC to the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition again this year. In addition,we are excited about the upcoming IWC opening at Villagio Mall. This is only the beginning of our collaboration with IWC and we look forward to strengthening our partnership even further.”

At the exhibition in the Qatar National Convention Center, IWC Schaffhausen is hosting the Mercedes AMG Petronas Simulator at its Ingenieur-themed booth. In front of numerous guests and journalists, Lewis Hamilton kick-started the simulator with a virtual race on the Yas Marina Circuit Abu Dhabi, giving an impressive demonstration of his outstanding skills. Exhibition visitors will have the chance to attempt to better Lewis’ lap time on the simulator and, at the same time, get as close as possible to experiencing the feeling of driving on a Formula One track.
