2014 Cadillac CTS Sedan & Cadillac XTS
Cadillac, the leading luxury auto brand since 1902, has in recent years, engineered a historic renaissance led by ultra-creative designs, artful engineering and advanced technology. Cadillac’s revolutionary design innovations have set the brand starkly apart in a market fierce with competition. Cadillac’s all-new line-up of vehicles include the all-new 2014 CTS Sedan, the 2014 XTS, the 2014 ATS and the 2014 SRX.
Nadim Ghrayeb, Cadillac’s Brand Manager says “The vehicle model stretches figuratively and literally – it is also impeccably designed and strikingly modern. Marrying bespoke craftsmanship and luxury, the all-new CTS – which has always been Cadillac’s centrepiece – perfectly embodies the brand’s strong design heritage. After all, Cadillac has long stood for daring design, uncompromising performance and ground-breaking technology.”
The third-generation CTS sedan is based on the high-performing rear-drive architecture of the award-winning ATS sport sedan, moving Cadillac into the prestigious class of midsize luxury sedans. It will be the segment’s lightest car, enabling the most agile driving dynamics in the class. Lightweight features, including Cadillac’s first aluminium door structures, contribute to the lower weight and a 50/50 weight balance. It has a lower curb weight than the preceding model though stretched in overall length and wheelbase. The interiors are roomier with a driver-centric cockpit and integrated technology, hand-crafted appointments, all complementing the exterior and supporting the CTS sedan’s driving experience.
The all-new Cadillac XTS is one of the most technologically advanced production cars in the brand’s history, delivering the space, elegance and dramatic presence that are brand signatures in a unique package tuned for a new generation of luxury customers. Cadillac’s all-new, power-dense Twin-Turbo V-6 engine highlights new features for 2014, along with technologies including available Automatic Parking Assist and Intellibeam.
The XTS is in a league of its own when it comes to trunk space of 509 L, exceeding both midsize and full-size competitors. The cargo advantage means room for five or more suitcases for XTS customers. Ghrayeb says “The XTS’s surface details also convey a more nuanced design philosophy, bringing elegance with refined, graceful forms and surfaces working harmoniously with established Cadillac linear forms.”
