As the weather cools down in the UAE, we have tourists pouring in from different parts of the world. With the announcement of several projects in Cityscape 2014, Dubai is well on its way to host the upcoming Expo 2020. And the city continues to be abuzz with luxury events.

In this issue we get an interesting insight into the making of the Tiffany T jewellery collection from Tiffany’s new Design Director, Francesca Amfitheatrof. We also have an exclusive interview with the renowned fashion designer, Rami Al Ali, who talks about the evolution of fashion and trends in the region.

There is the interesting story about the large magnificent watches, made by U-Boat, as their owner and designer, Italo Fontana, takes us through the whole journey of the brand, right from its inception.

On the automotive front, we were honoured to be one of the few publications from the Middle East to attend the Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II media launch in Goodwood, which was both educative and thrilling. Our visit to the McLaren Technology Centre helped us to understand the personalised experience that awaits a McLaren 650S customer.

During summer we took the latest Targa 4S from Porsche for a spin on the highways of Abu Dhabi and Dubai. We also take a sneak peek into Aston Martin’s exclusive revival of the Lagonda.

We look at some of the incredible pieces of artwork, displayed in Harvey Nichols Dubai, by talented Chinese artist Kim Xu.

On the travel and leisure side, we get to experience a piece of tranquil heaven in the midst of South Indian rainforests at the Vivanta by Taj – Madikeri, which has become increasingly popular with Middle Eastern tourists over the years. Closer home is Oman’s new exclusive resort, Alila Jabal Akhdar, perched on the Al-Hajar mountains. This is the ideal base to explore Oman’s rugged and beautiful landscape.
