Four Seasons Hotel Prague promises the perfect winter getaway in Prague this Christmas
There is a Czech saying that if you have ever spent a Christmas in Prague, then, you will be back for the next!
Christmas can be simply magical in this charming city that drips with history, heritage and culture, leaving unforgettable memories of Christmas markets with thronging shoppers; choirs singing; the Old Town Square, filled with decorated trees and adorned with thousands of lights; the aromas of cakes, cookies and roasted chestnuts, fun-filled parties that spill over into the streets and, of course, the fireworks that appear more dramatic, when viewed against the snow clad cityscapes. No wonder, it becomes addictive!
Now, Four Seasons Hotel Prague makes the prospect even more tempting with their invitation to experience the spirit of the festive season in picturesque Prague.
The Four Seasons property interweaves centuries of Czech history and architecture with all the conveniences of modern technology in this exclusive enclave at the edge of the Vltava River, just steps from the Charles Bridge. The contemporary main building of this luxury hotel in vibrant Old Town Prague combines three historic edifices – classical, renaissance and 18th-century baroque buildings – for an architecturally unique structure.
This also means that one can choose to experience the luxurious accommodation, furnished in classical, renaissance or baroque styles, depending on the wing you prefer.
Located close to the hotel, the Old Town and Wenceslas Square are the two most popular Christmas markets, where an array of festive merchandise can be bought. The Czech Christmas Markets bring out the charm of the old city and every year visitors and locals gather together to share the holiday spirit in this true winter wonderland.
Traditionally, local and international choirs, along with musical ensembles, take to the stage at the Old Town Square to entertain visitors as they browse around the markets for unique and traditional gifts for friends and loved ones.
The hotel offers to have a horse-drawn carriage pick us up and take us to the Old Town Square Market, with beverages and roasted chestnuts served during the cosy ride. The invitation also says that when we get back to the warmth of the hotel, there is the tempting prospect of indulging in Christmas-themed tea and traditional Czech festive cookies in the Lobby Lounge.
Again for the coming Christmas season, the CottoCrudo restaurant chefs will create three different festive lunch and dinner menus, each with a tasty selection of traditional Italian festive delicacies.
In addition, we are informed that a live piano performance will take place in the lobby on specified days, accompanying a traditional selection of teas and coffees, hot chocolate and traditional cookies and Italian festive sweets.
From delicious Christmas lunches and dinners to a remarkable New Year’s Eve party, Four Seasons Hotel Prague appears to have created a full menu of seasonal delights for their guests this year – and, we’ll be there for sure!
